can anyone help please? My neighbor has a problem with his Chausson weekend electrical system.
He has it hooked up to mains and the sockets are working but not the lights they only work if the engine is running, the control panel only comes on with engine running too.
Any ideas?

Flat battery? The bits that aren't working are on 12v. Suggest leaving it on mains electric hook up for a while & see if that sorts it - will do if low battery.
If it's been on charge then could be faulty battery charger or fuse is blown.

many many years! since I was a kid
which means the leisure battery is dead and the van electrics are working if powered by the charger or the alternator
