I'm a newbie
Any Funsters have ideas where we can get a Renault Master 99 left rear barn door window fixed or replaced. We are on the France/Spain border near St Gean Pied de Port in the Pyrenees.

Rather than a main dealer perhaps your campsite owner could point you at a local garage - I've found that these tend to be more flexible than the big places. They also know about breakers etc. who may have the necessary bits.

Thanks TerryL. Not on a site at the moment but good thought about a breaker though.

You could ask a garage to cut you a piece of aluminium or mild steel to fit until you get home.BUSBY.

Again thanks Busby.
I wonder if any Funsters have any recommendations or experiences of garages in the area?

vehicle glass or double glazed plastic? if only cracked, source some clear adhesive film and cover the window till you get home safely

We have some very good clear, waterproof adhesive tape, 50mm in width. I think we bought it from one of the supermarkets near us here in France. It is not easy to remove, though. I used a window scraper - the type which takes a blade to fit a Stanley knife.

Thanks TheBig1 & Pilote87 - we will give that a try - should work ok.
