Hi, we have been renovating our 32 year old motorhome and she is coming along nicely, but we need to replace the door and can’t seem to find one anywhere. Apparently the door is arched at the top and square at the bottom which makes it rare, does anyone know where we might be able to find one. Any help would be very welcome, I’ve put some photos on to show the original.

As above .Refurbishing if possible. Alternatively have a look for caravan reclaimers. They may have something that fits.

Why do you feel at you need to replace it rather than refurbish it?
The previous owners have potentially locked themselves out and taken a screwdriver/ crowbar to it and split and twisted the frame and split the door so been advised to replace it, want to replace with similar just can’t find one

Just realised that is olearys, to be fair tried them, I found the guy really unhelpful, called several times, sent photos and had to chase every time. Yesterday after 2 weeks of chasing him he told me it was a rare one to go somewhere else, everyone says there really good, I didn’t find that at all unfortunately. Are there any similar businesses we could try.

EBay tell them the size that’s the outside of the from both height and width and they I am sure will be able to find some thing. They have lots of doors this is just a link to find them.

You may be some quirk of fate find a replacement, however my approach would be to repair.
Thinking about it find a body repairer used to working with aluminium, nothing cannot be repaired,it's merely the cost

Make a temporary plywood door to fit the frame and perhaps gaffer tape or better it in place.
Then take the door to a repair or two and get an option and or price,if they are willing and capable.
Our society is programmed to replace, try repair.

Put Talbot Express breaking into eBay search and then message each seller with a clear photo.
The habitation areas are the same as Fiat just different engines and running gear

Here is one example, although advertising a wing his description says he has other panels.

Take it off, take it to a competent carpenter or independent bodywork company, they should be able to refurbish it (as they have the template) if you can't find a replacement but it might cost you more?

Thank you that’s very kind of you, I’ve just looked at it and it’s a passenger door we need a main habitation door the one we currently have is a stable door which would be good if we could find as it really handy with the dogs. Never know though they ma6 have one, but I really do appreciate your kindness and support 🥰😊

Not what you want to hear I know, but it's too old to find an exact copy. Buy a door slightly bigger and adjust the hole and if necessary make a wooden frame to convert the bottom of the opening to curved and cover with aluminium. Done well it will look factory and is exactly what converters do to fit disabled accessible doors.

It's not a simple job, but can be achieved if you can do basic woodwork and follow instructions regarding reinforcing the new opening. A bonus is you can buy much better doors than originally fitted so should outlast the rest of the van

Oh bless you, I never saw the door just the description, yeah that looks similar to ours without the window. I will message to, I never realised it would be so difficult, we would even pay someone to make one but can’t find anyone

Arrange a door workshop weekend at Quackers (some of us are down there 14-19 April) and I'll bring my Router for you to use, if you provide the wood and EHU? :giggle:

Unfortunately we are away then but appreciate the offer, to be honest we have no idea what we are doing as this is our 1st motorhome so think it would be better to get someone to do it for us, could do with someone to be able to either sell us a door and frame and fit it for us or fix the one that’s there, someone suggested finding a fabricator but can’t find one,
