2008-20??
As the title says we need help re motorhome insurance for Morocco.
Last year our currant insurance company (Aviva through AIB) loaded our premium by £52 per week so we stayed in Spain. This year before renewal date we are looking to find any company's that will cover us.We did join the C&Mh club as we were told there insurance brokers would be able to help but, now trying we have been told none of there company's now cover Morocco.
Desperate to go one last time.

Just been all through this as we are looking to go to Morocco this winter.

We have ended looking at Comfort for renewal,. The company give full comprehensive insurance for Morocco but charge for us at 4.5 ton £27 per week for the Green card.
Looked at Safeguard but they have only just stopped covering Morocco so choices are limited.

If you go down the road with Comfort have a look at post I put up a couple of hours ago seeking a Comfort policy holder to show referral as yourselves and them get an additional 5% off

Hope this helps

There is a chain about Green card in the Morocco 2019 post within the forum

Safeguard have changed underwriters. I believe they've gone with L.V.I managed to get our green card just before the change.

We have just been quoted £27.00 for 7 weeks in Morocco via saga, we are insured with them, this is a quote for now as they can't give us a definite for when we need it which is January to February 2019 , they did say it might change but this is where the price has been for the last 6 months

Me too. Very lucky as I was with comfort and changed specifically to get the green card. Next year I will return to Comfort.

May well do the same, Although the rep at safeguard did say they intended to bring up the green card issue !, so watch this space.

I have just renewed through safeguard and got a green card valid for the duration of the policy and " NO " charge for it .

Also have just taken out a Motorcycle Policy with " LV "to cover the motorbike in Morocco as my present brokers Carol Nash could not find anyone to cover a MC in Morocco .

They charged me £97.98 for the bike and a further £ 29 for the Green Card ,

so for a Motor cycle valued at :- £1000 Total of £126:98

Plus ... £400 excess plus voluntary access of £280 ...Total excess £680

Break down was only for UK and would have been £ 58

Be careful and double check LV as they said they only cover for a max of 180 days out of the UK ,

Didn't realise you smoked Philip. Thought you weren't going this time, as you'd just shelled out for new batteries.

A backie Ken, is a proper English word, not that Northern Nancy crap, you speak. Me old cock sparrow! Yes I'm going this time. It might be our last visit in a motorhome too with the way the insurance companies are behaving. Bet there all based up your way too.
