Help.....how do I type a text message on my laptop to send to a mobile phone (1 Viewer)

I have a couple of friends who are a bit deaf so communication is easier using messaging. It takes me forever typing text on my phone, is there any way of typing it on my laptop then sending to a phone......Ta

Depends on what type of phone you have, if you have an Android phone and a Windows PC then you can download a PC app called Your Phone from the MS store, works a treat. I am sure there are equivalents for PC to iPhone or Mac to Android.

There is a "Whats app" version for windows and it syncs with your phone.

Have you tried the dictation option?
Look for the microphone icon on your phone's keyboard

I have used Skype in the past to send messages but you need an account and preload it with £10 I think

Second Skype, you can send a text from your laptop screen direct to a phone. You can also setup Skype so that it shows your mobile number as ID. Any text reply would come to your phone AND Skype account (laptop)

That's smart, just installed it on my work PC, now it doesn't matter if I leave my mobile at home

I use" text anywhere " to send text messages to my customers etc for things like letting them know their car us finished and ready for collection very easy to use but you do have to buy credits so not sure how often your going to send messages

You can do all sorts like schedule a message to go at a certain day or time

I use https://mightytext.net ... very easy to use to send text messages using your computer through your phone. No need for the recipient to have any different software.
