Help!
We are currently at the Oxford C&C site and have a hot water leak from under the van. (Here until Saturday) Started as a drip and is gradually speeding up. It comes from the hot water supply on the side of the Truma boiler shown in the picture. Water is running down as shown by the arrow. The second photo is taken from underneath the van , the arrow points to where the water is dripping.

All taps seem to be working fine. Any help / advice appreciated!

Are you sure it's a leak and not just down to it being an overflow/expansion/pressure drain for the boiler?

No it’s definitely a leak unfortunately ?

I'm not familiar with this system and not sure what is on the end of the external pipe ??? Is it supposed to act as an overflow ???? Anyhow, I note on the pipe inside one end has a jubilee clip fitted to seal the red hot water pipe connection and I would have thought it would have the same seal.

Difficult to see from the photograph but I assume the leak is down the outside of the white plastic fitting. I would have a look at this. Is it a pushfit type? It's possible with the recent low temperatures you may have a tiny split in it due to freezing?
Can you rotate it slightly to reseat the seal?

Is there water leaking inside where the pipe connection is ? It looks very dry on the floor

Could be the van going into winter mode? Is there a flip/ turn tap/ cog by the boiler? If so then run your hand down the side of it and look for a little blue button, push it in and it should stop the dump. May not be that but we have had several vans recently do the same.

Thank you all for your bits of help and information- my other half is now going to look into all the points made.
(The water is leaking outside, not inside)

We have a similar pipe on our heater. I suspect it is some form of overflow pipe, on ours it is a clear pipe and I can see that in normal operation no water is flowing in it. Do you hear you pump operating more than normal ? Does the trip / leak stop if you turn on a tap ? Just wondering if during the cold weather lately that overnight at some point you got some ice build up in some part of your system which has caused your drip / leak as a knock on effect ?

The white bit which connects to the boiler needs replacing... No option.
It allows trapped air out of the boiler, once water comes out it closes..... Or in this case doesn't.
That's basically what it says in the link I posted earlier ... (y)

It only looks like a Push-fit Tee piece.. so hopefully not expensive from a plumbers merchant?

The first picture doesn't indicate there is any water dripping down the pipe with the arrow on it. If it's dry the drios to the outside will be an overflow, condensation drain.

That is the boiler pressure release valve. Once the seal is broken it’s had it. I have just bought replacement £10. Turn of hot water. When you need hot water again turn it on heat up and switch of. Replacement is simple

I have the replacement part in my car and will photograph the part number and post later

Warning. I recommend not using the Compression fixing make sure it’s the push fit. When mine failed earlier this year the dealer replaced push fit with compression. Was sitting in the van one evening when we heard the joint fail and it was forced off the pipe. Water pump then starts up and pushed water out. Had we not been in the van when it let go it would have just pumped water everywhere

From what pappajohn says it is more than a simple T piece and if it was I would expect it to drain the whole system.

It's an overheat expansion blow off valve. The RED pipe should be vertical, having it cocked at an angle isn't helping. As the water in the boiler heats up and EXPANDS the excess pressure needs to escape. It's doing it's job.

Not quite right there, as stated in earlier posts its a vent and water shouldn't pass through it unless there is a very large over pressure. They fail regularly and once they start weeping/leaking its time to replace with a new one.

No it's not, it is the air release valve for when the boiler is filling from empty. The angle doesn't make any odds the only reason it's leaking is because the valve has probably got some crud in it.

Worth taking off and soaking in some hot white vinegar to get rid of any calcium deposits on the valve.

I've seen Brand New Boilers spluttering out of the part. Part isn't expensive. If in doubt clean or replace part.

£10 Wow that's hell of a lot than others advertised in posts.
Please could you name your supplier as it sounds like a spare worth having
Thankyou

Thank you all for your contributions - because it’s still under warranty we’re waiting to hear from the dealer. But it’s been very useful to hear opinions as to the cause of the problem. We’ve been quoted £108 + postage for a new part to repair it ?
But your replies have helped a lot to understand the problem

A similar system is used as a pressure relief valve on boats. Arrive on board switch on water pump which pressurizes system switch on hot water water expands lifts foot of pressure relief valve.
Pressure drops valve closes

Supplied to me by Relience MH service Chichester who are Carthago service agents who replaced the part with a compression valve during the service with a part charge of £ 10. After the compression part was forced off by chance I still had the original slightly faulty push fit valve. I re attached the old part and Relience ordered a replacement which was forwarded to me at no extra cost.
