Help from Skype users please (1 Viewer)

Recently when calling friends on Skype I sometimes get an audio message before I even get the dialing tone which says "The person you are calling is temporarily unavailable" then gives one a chance to leave a message.

Can any Skype users please explain why this happens?

Have they changed phone numbers - if so why offer to take a message, because surely that will not be picked up on the original number my Skype is dialing.

It could be that their otherwise engaged and can’t talk to you at the time.
