We have no power at the fridge either 240 of 12 volt, checked across the electro block fuse and it shows 12v fuse ok, is there a fuse inside the panel ??
any idea's

What type of fridge is it? I recently had a problem with mine and the fuse on the pcb had blown.

Dometic RM 8401

ELB Shaudt DT220 18, any one know how I can get into the PCB.
I have 12v across the fuse terminals, Fuse checked OK.
On the back there is a terminal block with a number of wire's, I have 12 volts on the thick blue cable, can't find any thing else.
what model number EBL do you have ? (there is a fuse on the fridge PSB but it is 230v)

Portland there are 2 x fuses for the fridge 1 x 20 amp and 1 x 2amp (Steuerung) have you checked them both ? The 2 amp one is for the fridge control I think.
If you still need information about the wiring at the rear of the fridge there is a installation manual (and Service manual) for Dometic 8xxx series in the Resources section that is on the top (blue) line of this page. (in manuals for Motorhome stuff)

Hi thanksfor your reply, I assumeyou mean the fuse on the electro block and I have checked coolshrank fuse and the 2amp both are good.
If you say they are in the fridge itself please direct me to them as I have looked at the download with little comprehension,

Yes I meant the fuse on the EBL but there may also be another 25 amp one near the starter battery positive terminal along with the main 50 amp fuse.
The Resources down load of the Dometic 8xxx service manual shows a 1amp 250v fuse on the module for your fridge on page 12 but I do not see any others.

Thanks for all your help, I have now got a fridge. The problem was the 2amp fuse was dry and not making contact with the holder so, new fuse plus a smear of Vasoline and the same treatment to all the other fuses.
Bingo 👍

Don't know what van you have but a lot of Hymers the 2amp fuse for the fridge electronics is not in the EBL but in a seperate fuse bank, mine is next to the EBL.

Have a look around the EBL see if there is a small fuse holder block.

Also on the back of the 8000 series fridges there is a black modual that does the ignition and distributes power to the fridge. These are prone to failure mainly later ones had a label on them saying "poly fuses" these are normally OK.
