I am in the process of buying a new autotrail tribute 670 and I have managed to get the vin number, the problem is when I put this into Fiats my Camper it comes back as having a Euro 5+ engine.

The camper was sold to me as having a Euro 6 engine has this been mis sold

Same with our 2018 tribute. Euro5+ on Fiat Camper but it definitely is a Euro6

Thanks for reply's not a happy person at the moment the whole purpose of changing our camper was to meet the new exclusion zones criterias in europe as well as here, also thought we were safe from euro 5+ as I believed as others have said that it is illegal to register a new vehicle since September 2016 that isn't euro 6 compliant

That would be helpful except there doesn't appear to be a code for a 130BHP euro 6 and as far as I am aware all engines now should be euro 6 including the one I am buying (or was) which my fiat are saying is a euro 5+, I will obviously be phoning Fiats main help line tomorrow and see what they say but because of previous history I am finding it increasingly difficult to trust any dealers or manufacturers to tell the truth much easier and less stressful just to pull out of the deal and forget caravaning or camper vanning

I thought fiat were now using adblue?

Just been looking at their online manual for the fiat base vehicle I was buying and they were showing a couple of engines as using adblue had an M designation on the end of the engine codes G7UXG posted instead of the C D and E

Euro 6 Fiat does not use adblue.

Fiat do fit an adblue engine in the Ducato. It is 130 bhp with engine code F1AGL411M
There is also a 140bhp 3ltr Natural Power engine that runs on methane!
Bet it smells lovely if your stuck behind one of those!

well the fiat web site is giving me an engine number of 290 FULH2B3W 2300 I haven't yet managed to get back in touch to check the number with the dealer they don't open until ten

You should get the Fiat Certificate of Conformity with the rest of the paperwork from the dealer at handover.

My CoC states it is Euro 6Y and that is what I rely on.

Lets hope my coc clears things up a bit I have told dealer I am not willing to part with any more cash or go forward with the deal until I am absolutely sure of what I am actually buying

ask the dealer to tell you the engine number quoted on the v5 if there is one yet mine was made in dec16 and is euro6 does it have the red badge on the front wing?

Not sure about the badge colour, at the time i was more interested in checking it out underneath and inside for build quality.

Have just received the COC and it states euro 6 y so thats good enough for me, have to say though when I worked in mechanics years ago the vin number was the bible and the info you called up with it had to be correct so god knows whats going on with fiat.

Anyway thanks everyone for replys

Mine shows Euro 5+ also on Fiat Professional/Mopar but it is a Euro 6 confirmed on the CoC and by Fiat. Engine code F1AGL411C and I do not have Adblue (y).
