Help ! Anyone know how repair seat? Undriveable currently!

As I swivel seat on my 2005 Oregon this morning the seat handle got stuck and pulled right out, and now the backrest won’t recline to driving position and I can’t push the spindle back in either. You’d think a little knob wouldn’t be serious but as I can’t drive with seat tilted forward..

Can anyone advise how i can fix, is there a way of disassembling seat to rectify etc?

Please if anyone get me drivable again urgently, as wild camping currently and stuck

I think that you may have to remove the seat to get access to the mechanism to be able to see what's up.

Undo the two large bolts connecting the seat back to the seat base, same on the other side. I suspect (I'm no expert) this will separate the two and you will at least be able to get to the recliner mechanism a little easier. That's what I'd look at anyway.

Lift the flap at the back this should give a bit of visual access to the adjustment rod. It just need aiming into the hole and a push and perhaps a twist to get it to engage and through.

Thanks guys, I’ve managed to “just” recline it enough to drive-ish. Bit too close to steering wheel for comfort. But I’m going to go check into a site asap so I can have room to dismantle and/or take the seat out!

What a pain, just from swivelling the seat to move off this morning.
