Lovely. Eeeh, Sutton Bank.

Only been along there once in my life, on the end of a convoy of Blackbirds! Superb.

Pete told me then, as I'd just said 'Sheet it must be steep, sign says no caravans' that the last time he'd been down it he was in fact, towing the caravan and it was a pea souper!

I said to him very recently, that's the only time ever I've been to 'there' at all (cross country from The Tickled Trout (J31 M6) to Whitby, then back home all in one day) and I'd really like to go back and spend some more time - I do know we passed the signs for Fountains Abbey on the way across country too and that's yet another place I've only ever seen photos of.

Sutton Bank is a monster, for sure. (North) Yorkshire is a handsome county, and stuffed with crushed abbeys!
