I am new here.
We are thinking of buying a Chausson Welcom 610 but can’t decide whether to buy new or pre-owned. We like th garage storage area and large rear shower room.
We have had two in past we bought a Ci first to see if we would liked motorhoming and within a year we bought a New Autotrail Cheyenne in 2009 which we absolutely loved apart from all the problems we had with it and in the end we were so disheartened with everything going wrong we sold it to a dealer in 2012, but have missed the motorhoming life so hence the Chausson!
Has anybody here got a Chausson and are they pleased with it?
Thanks

Hi & welcome - yes have a chausson best of 510 - like a 610 without the garage.

Been very happy with it & find it very spacious - some will point to reliance on an electric bed but we've had no problems. Nothing has fell apart or failed.

Used it skiing & during the summer - well insulated & been reliable.

The layout is great for two but you will have to go to bed/rise at the same time - becomes a little cramped for four & is the only reason we have ordered a Chausson 627GA SE - more flexible for family use. Of course the compromise (and there always is one isn't there!) Is the wetroom & will no doubt miss the spacious shower cubicle.

:welcomesign:It must have been pretty bad for you to have given up the motorhome life for so long. Surely the Autorail wasn't that bad. No idea what a chausson is like but from what I have heard you can't fault them. If money is no object to you then of course go for a new one. I have a Burstner Ixeo 590, very good quality & just right for the 2 of us, no big garage stuck on the back so won't suit you
