[APACHE 1988]

Retired early after 36 years in the Civil Service and soon realised that I was doomed to a life of doing the job at the top of my wifes TO DO List and then realising she had added two more to the bottom. Got myself a very cheap motorhome and decided that if we liked it over a period of 6 months I would cash in some of my pension and buy a newer one. Took a part time job where I work alternate weekends and we committed ourselves to going away on the weekends I was not working. That was 3 years ago and we still have the same old girl...EFFIE. She is a 1988 Autotrail Apache with Mercedes Petrol engine. Excellent bodywork and a luxury interior. Managing to stick to going away twice a month but the garden and the decorating are suffering!!

Just back from 6 weeks away and it will only take a couple of days to knock the garden into shape so a small price to pay for 6 weeks travelling.

Morning Apache enjoy your van and worry about nothing except enjoying your retirement I just do the odd jobs when we come home for a week or two and what doesn't get done waits till next time the house isn't going anywhere.
