If you are asking about private driveways in the UK, then the answer is yes you may sleep over, many do at friends and family’s houses. However finding one to rent from a stranger is difficult if not impossible.

If we're talking about the UK then as others have mentioned there isn't really any structure of aires/stellplatz in the UK although wild camping is permitted in many areas.
