Hi Everyone.
It's a long time since I've been here so I am saying hello just in case anyone remembers us!
We've had a tricky couple of years but things may be getting back to normal a bit now. In Feb 2012 our daughter said she wanted to get married to her partner of 3 years and ,bye the way, mum, this year - OK?
Most ladies who have planned a wedding know six months is not a long time to plan! Yikkes! We got the last available date locally and the it was a whirlwind of dresses, bridesmaids, cakes, flowers, invites who to leave in and out, menus........
At the same time my mum was in hospital and we were having to visit 43 miles away.
The wedding was lovely but sadly my mum died in the early hours of the night of the wedding.
We had to keep it secret as we didn't want to spoil the honeymoon. So we had a funeral to arrange right after the wedding.
Then Dave was executor and we spent the winter sorting everything out. The next spring we had a very close family bereavement. Thank goodness for the holiday we had with friends who helped us through.
It all got a bit much for me (Lucille) and in the Autumn I had to take time away from email Facebook M Fun etc as it all got a bit much for me.
So sorry if this post is too long or too detailed.
I can't seem to sign in as Staging Lady so I am using Dave's name to wish you all a
Happy New Year!
and say like Arnie, I'm back
