Hello All

We have just bought our first Motorhome. It’s an Ace Airstream 630 EK, 2008 with 20000 miles on the clock. We are off to Costa Brava at the beginning of September and need a comprehensive breakdown cover.

It looks like a minefield out there and hope a few experienced Motorhomer’s can offer some guidance.

Many thanks

Steve

Hi and :welcome4:

I've got breakdown cover with my insurance through Comfort. Check with your own insurers, it's usually cheaper than standalone breakdown cover.
The two major clubs, Caravan & Motorhome Club and Camping & Caravanning Club do continental cover for members.
There are others out there, someone will be along shortly to offer advice.

I do mine with the RAC through the C&CC arrival , used a couple of times great service . remember in France ( & I think Spain ) they don't seem to do roadside repair ,it's usually lift on back of breakdown truck back to garage to assess then repair . usually pick up free but you have to pay for repair.

Another vote for RAC arrival, they will pick up my motorhome even though it's 5.6 tonnes.
Unlike Terry, I have not used them, I hope it stays that way too!
