Hi there all :Cool:

Plunged head first into the deep end in ownership of a DIY van conversion last weekend :Blush:.

Had been looking at Transit sized campers, but my partner Trudie and I (Steve or 'essexsj') spotted this lovely little Nissan Vannete Cargo LWB 2.3 Diesel that had been lovingly converted by its former owner (Click here for Photo album), and is all ready to go. We had a very pleasant 220 mile journey home from the previous owner's home in Hull, to our home in Essex.

Had scouted around for a few days on this website particularly in the insurance section and have managed to get it insured with no problem (V5 still states category as 2-axle rigid body) through Insurance Choice who were very helpful.

We are both itching to get away and give everything a go and will be logging in here quite regular, will be nice to make some acquaintances for helpful info etc. :thumb:
