I am Raul and my wife Kat, just joined this board. We had this dream to take the plunge into campers/ motorhomes, and got there in the end. We had a look at some dealers and seen what's on the market and decided that we will do our own conversion. So we shopped for a decent 1-2 year crafter euro6 trend line, LWB, High Roof, AC, Cruise, park assist, etc.
Then after some research, a massive 10k shopping list completed in less than tree weeks. Loaded it all up, and off to Romania, where we have a large ish garage/workshop and the conversion started. We had to finish in two months, as we had commitments to get back to. All completed within the time frame, less few cupboard doors, as we ran out of furniture board. I have under estimated by half board.
Its been a hell of a insight but fun, and I would do it again without hesitation. We wanted something that can be used all year round, low cost running, comfort and practical.
I hope we will meet with some felow like minded folk and share.
