Still only a year after many years camping
We're Phil and Liz from Warwickshire, and looking forward to picking up our Autotrail Apache 600 in a couple of weeks. It's our first motorhome, having been keen campers and bikers for many years.

It's Jaws's fault we've joined this excellent forum - we're looking forward to lots of advice and banter, and we may even see some of you at the Thetford bash in May:thumb:

Many thanks everyone for the warm welcome.:thumb: I'm sure we'll be asking some pretty stupid questions, so stand by with the stupid answers ::bigsmile:

We're getting excited about picking up the van - we'll collect it on Liz's birthday (March 25th), so I won't have to buy her a present::bigsmile:

Aug 09 to date 9,000 miles!
Hello!

No, you cannot carry a SuperBlackbird on a Fiamma bike rack.

Yes, MoHo bumpers are more expensive than Blackbird fairings.

Yes, Fiat Ducato mirrors are even more expensive than Blackbird ones.

No, you cannot affix a solar panel or a satellite dish to your roof with bungees.

Yes, you can definitely get quite a bit more in your MoHo lockers* than in your back box, tank bag and side panniers (if any). (However many you take, you will still only wear two T-shirts most of your holiday cos it's hard to break that habit once you've got used to bike touring.)

* Esp shoes, make sure you tell Liz. It's essential information for your pillion.

Any other slightly more technical questions - someone else knows the answer ! :ROFLMAO:
