Welcome my friend.
The secret is not to let your God know what your plans are.
.......Otherwise, like me ,you will probably be deafened by the guffaws from above, and voices shouting " Are you sure?!"

7 years since my post. For what its worth, here's a quick update on my 2014 dream.........

Kids grown up and sorted

Did not stop work for a year, I stopped work earlier than planned and for good ( I hope )

Sold the 5th wheel and instead of RV in states bought a lovely RV in the UK and spent a few years enjoying what the UK has to offer.

Then sold the RV to travel and spent longer periods away round the world experiencing as much as possible from Antarctica to Alaska to Asia. Kind of middle class backpacking - hotel and prosecco style :)

Covid put end to travel and now settled back in the UK, have a rescue Dobermann finished every job and project around the house and now looking for a older type of uk/European motorhome for myself, wife and the dog to start travelling Uk and Europe for longer periods of time.

I'm not even going to try to predict or plan the next 7 years :) ...........

Some right rubbish out there asking silly money Andy LOL!

My parents ( 79 yrs ) have a MH they do not use so maybe a good time for them to sell it - not right layout for us which is a real shame.

After a decent lounge with comfy seats , dislike bench seats, bunk beds sited in rear as this seems best use of space. Name or age slightly unimportant. Mileage under 50K
I appreciate we will tick only 75% of our requirements but I am genuinely shocked at some of the prices being asked.
