hello 👋 Can anybody advise us why our tv ( Avtex L219drs Pro 0594 ) has a message on screen asking if we would like to revert to slave or not

Hi Can anyone tell us why our Avtex TV has a message in middle of picture on screen saying Slave request channel sync Yes or No...as we have mislaid the remote we cannot do anything as functions back of tv do not work....

It sounds like you have set it to receive a CAST from another device.
Casting is like sending a film downloaded on your phone to the TV to view on a large screen rather than the phone screen.
You avtex will become the slave device.
If no TV controls work you'll probably have to buy a replacement remote.
If you haven't already, try turning it off for 15 minutes to see if it reverts to normal on restart

Wouldn’t hurt to unplug it from the power as well, some TVs and other equipment need to be removed from the power socket completely.

Where are you?, might be able to borrow a remote to adjust the telly, I think all the Avtex remotes are the same.

Actually I thought the same but my 30” & 27” Avtex tv’s have different remotes with different commands

The one supplied in our Auto-trail and another I bought later both work from the same remote.

Yes it did in my Autotrail when I purchased it brand new with 2 x 19” Avtex tv”s installed, same model no’s

But my 27” & 30” are completely different
