Last night my roof light sprung a little leak in heavy rain The water was pooling on the front edge. I must have been dead level its never happend before in the 6 years ive owned van. I have read all suggestions and arguments on whats best and I have decided to use the mastic tape what i wouldlike to know is what size is best to get ? its the big Heki with windy handle any links to a suitable product would be great also.

Many thanks in advance Paul

PS. I do have some Hodgesons seam seal but I found it went grubby and mildew formed on it very quick so dont fancy that

As wide as the Heki flange and deeper than the grooves. Degrease all faces first and remove old mastic etc, you can go around the outside as well once fitted with RV sealant. I buy mastic on a roll from ebay. Contactless, easy transaction. Make sure that there is a wooden frame in the sandwich of the roof around the window as when you tighten the screws it won't crush any foam and leak over time etc
