Well I do not know why the Caravan Club make such a fuss. If they are carrying out any improvements, invariably the site closes completely. Well they should take some lessons from the French. Just stopped at Aix les Bains. The Camping-Car park group have taken it over. Past reviews said that it was very muddy when it rained. So fair play they are improving the site by laying stone on all the pitches and also improving electrics and no doubt one or two other things. 8’o clock this morning a 32 tonne truck, an excavator , a road roller plus assorted tools, van and workmen commence to continue work already started. The thing is the site had about 30 vans on. People trying to empty and fill as you do. The workmen carry on. French people argue with the workman who give the traditional shrug. The truck brings in 20 tonne of stone. The excavator driver ( who handled it superbly) is changing bucket attachments, moving soil and stone. The truck is reversing in tight spaces close to vans while the roller trundles on another section. The photos really don’t do it justice.
