headlamp restoration kit (1 Viewer)

Hi, all anybody recommend a kit for renovating plastic lenses on headlamps?, prefer one that doesn't need a drill..

Golgate do a nice kit, get the mint flavour and the headlights will smell nice as well.

cutting compound, plenty of water and an old towel. unless the surface of the lights is very opaque you dont need to wet sand them. takes about 30 minutes per headlight on a ducato. i did this to the lights on my last van before selling and it made a big difference

Any cutting compound, plus rags and elbow grease if you've not got an electric polisher. Options include T-cut and toothpaste.

Quixx is one of the best.
What ever you buy make sure it has a lens sealer in the kit, this helps protect against UV. Don't be tempted to just cut it back with a compound it will quickly yellow again.

forgot to add, when done you will be cleaning the bonnet and surrounds, so include a coat of quality wax to the lights to seal them.

U use Farecla g3 compound and a 2.5" polishing head on a drill, I know you said preferably no still but it is hard work done by hand. Once polished i give the lenses a coat or two of clear acrylic lacquer from a rattle can, this stops them going yellow again too quickly.
