Was a newbie, now a Middie.
Trying to sort out just how the headlamp adjuster bowden cables on our early Fiat Ducato (same as the Talbot). There is a strange switch on the left hand side of the dash, (LHD model), that dosent do anything except turn, but I cant get at it. Any clues?

Yes have exactly the same problem with my 2000 Citroen Jumper based van, same system, lubricated everything and still nothing moving.
Apparently when built it is not a cable operated system but a plastic pipe that carries fluid to move the headlamp.I remember looking at replacing but the cost was prohibitive.I was told the fluid dissapeared over the years and as it is a sealed unit you have to replace the lot.

Luckily I set it manually against the garage wall and have air suspension so passes my 2 yearly French test ok.

Sorry not a positive answer but hope it helps.
