When we were there 3 years ago in September Greece had their worst storm for a hundred years. A lot of the coastal roads the edges of them were washed away.

In a small mini market I paid for some beers and a pack of water with a 50euro note and the girl said we dont see many 50s round here these days .

They say that when a 500€ note appears here now

Monday - in the sun day

Today we went for a walk into the hills and ancient olive groves which surround Valtos beach, in search of a long abandoned fortified tower, hidden in the hills

Here’s some pics of our adventure

Today’s lunch

Statsiki (Greek Yoghurt with cucumber)

Feta in oil and herbs

2 Greek salad

2 pork souvlaki

1 mixed souvlaki (beef chicken and pork)

All washed down with copious amounts of olive oil, wine and beer.
