Having recently returned from the fabulous “funster” group trip, Morocco 2013, we are champing at the bit to get on the road again and are planning our “Summer Trek” already.
The van is in the paint shop to have some Moroccan (and some self inflicted) dings and dents repaired, to be followed by a visit to the local garage to replace cam belt, alternator belt, water pump and various other bits of cosmetic stuff in preparation for a 1 May kickoff if all goes well.
Our half way destination each summer is London for an annual family celebration and this year is no different except for one major diversion along the way. From our home in Malaga we are heading for the UK by way of ….................... VENICE !!
Our route is basically, Malaga – Barcelona - Perpignan – Marseille – Monaco - Genoa – Padua -Venice with various diversions en route and from Venice we intend going (roughly) Vaduz – Luxembourg – Calais and home to London for some weeks and then home to Malaga by way of Normandy and Galicia.

We have never visited the South of France or any part of Italy and need the advice of funsters, who have been there, relating to camp sites, sostas, vignettes, special “must see” places to visit and any other info you might care to throw our way. We already have All the Aires in France and ACSI Card and our recent travelling companion MalcolmBolt has recommended, and we have ordered, Camper Stop and Guida Camper (2007 edition) and any other reading/planning suggestions would be most welcome.
