    Hi,

For free HD TV you need to have a look at FreeSat from the BBC/ITV

    freesat - Home

On Freesat you can get BBC HD, ITV HD and Luxe HD
On freesatfromsky you can get BBC HD, C4 HD and Luxe HD
On SKy HD subscription service you get about 30 hd channels (BBC and c4 need no monthly subscription)
For Freeview, plans are for them to have BBCHD ITV HD and C4HD late in 2009

You need an HD TV, an HD receiver *and* an HDMI connector cable to get the HD across to the TV. The cable is only a tenner though.
