From what I know you can count on at least half..but i think we are very lucky to have somewhere as a group we can bring in the bells. Several places have cancelled all hogmanay events due to covid so we can at least dominate the music at Brodies. ...maybe more

I have a PVC. I expect I can just get away with off grid power for the period (If I can't that lithium upgrade wasn't worth it), Internal heating should be OK, but all the tanks, and connecting pipes will be underfloor (outside) and not protected. Can I hope to get away with that, around New Year?

I note there is fresh water. I can probably, just, hold it in enough that the toilet cassette doesn't need emptying, if there is no elsan point, but the grey waste at a limited 60l capacity would need to be emptied. Can that be done?

This is a public car park. Rather like some of the other wilding threads, how is anyone expecting to enjoy themselves, not only on New Years Eve, but at any other time and not run the risk of losing their driving licence?

The weather is usually very cold at New Year but thats not guaranteed. Last year we were up at Pitlochry and it wasn't freezing, play safe and bring your thermals and a brolly. Put a bucket under your grey waste and keep the tap open. Empty grey waste on the grass/bushes. Your heating turned on should keep your pipes frost free.

While we are all responsible for our own actions, I've been to Hawick many times and unless you give the police some cause for concern they don't normally come near the vans. The police will be made aware of our presence by Marjorie at "The Welcome Committee" and will pop in patrolling the car park from time to time.

Public toilets will be open a few of the days and there is a disabled toilet available 24/7.

It’s a see you there meet so anyone can go but the restaurant is full of individual table bookings of 4 ...or 6 if extended households to keep us legal , unfortunately none left for the meal. Who knows how things will pan out by then with curfew etc etc it’s a wait n see Que ser a ser a, what will be will be.
