Yes that’s no problem. The town is only a few mins walk away so you might find you won’t need it unless you want to use it elsewhere on your travels

Update the council have decided the aire holds 16 vans therefore our cost is £160

In the event we don’t get all the places filled we will have to pay the difference between us.

Will send you all a pm with Jays banking details.

Thanks rockpool how do others go about enough power when not touring each day, 2 batteries or more?

we have 1No 240ah lithium battery, 270w solar, b2b charger, diesel heater and 2 No 11kg gasit lpg bottles. This keeps us off grid and very seldom use hookup on our travels😀.

Mmm better equppiied , only had the van 2 weeks (sonic)we have 1 x 100 ah( fitting a second sometime soon , 130w solar and 2 x11kg gas, ), would love to do the rally but get the feeling the power wont last

You might very well have another battery fitted by then. Also it depends very much on the weather and the sunshine for your solar and how much heating you need.

We are a sociable lot so you’d be welcome to join us for dinner/drinks in Wetherspoons for example one night thus saving on your electric, but that’s a very kind offer from DP+JAY who along with a few others will have a gennie for daytime use, you’ll just need to reimburse them for the fuel used. 👍. Hot water bottles come in handy too 😁…besides body heat 😂

You won’t go short on gas with 2x11kg. What kind of heating do you have? We basto, Truma, Aldi etc?

Were on alde have only had the van a couple of weeks, swmbo needs to have a hairdryer up and running by then so need a second battery to run a invertor. As you say a lot depends on the weather which seems very unpredictable, thanks for youre kind offers its much appreciated.

Hi Irnbru, can you put our names on the list please, who and how do i pay the deposit/ full amount to please?

You will struggle to run a hairdryer even with an inverter. And don’t even bother with a low wattage dryer as they are a waste of space - been there and tried it. I use a gas brush now and it’s much better.

Was hoping 2 x 100ah batteries would run a 1500 inverter, 1200 watt dryer, 5 mins should be enough to finish her hair off, cant really stretch to a lithium upgrade atm
