I do a lot off work at littlesea lifting caravans on and off of plots never stayed there but the site has a pool and some entertainment as well as a shop and bus stop on site. Motorhomes are parked at the far end of the site a short walk from the centre but up hill back to your van at night. Me I would stay there but a bit expensive for me

Sorry thought it was £49 pound a night might consider staying myself if it’s only a tenner a night:mad:

The week after is£145 ish. School holidays ?

That brings back memories used to go there when I was little with mum and dad in our bluebird rambler caravan .

Been there couple of times, the thing that comes to mind most is swan shit everywhere, apart from that pretty much the same as any other haven, fantastic value out of season dates (y)

You can walk all the way along the coast from the site to the causeway over to Portland and then on into Weymouth. It’s great but the first hour is coastal path with glorious views of chesil beach.
The bit from Portland into Weymouth is Tarmac though.

No........... as you get to ferry bridge there is a path on the right beside the water and the new`ish houses which will take you onto the "Rodwell Trail".. very pretty & peaceful with seats every now and then to take in the views.... It is tarmac but well away from the main road..

Which is the old railway from Portland to Weymouth... beautiful walk and follows Portland harbour.... and halfway along is a great time for a photo shot of the ruins of "Sandsfoot Castle" and gardens overlooking Portland harbour and views towards Portland.. (y)

I know it’s lovely, when I said it was tarmac I meant it was easier for walking on that’s all! I’m a local lass , first 18 years in Castle Cary Somerset and as I’m only 21 now the last 3 have been in Dorset. My Dad was in the Navy so my first caravan holidays were in that site just on the right as you go across to Portland, it’s a bit fancy now though, a friend has a static there.

I don`t think they take touring units now.. I may be wrong.. :giggler:

As you walk along the Rodwell trail... just before you get to the bridge on the left by the sailing club...
There is a house on the left with a window in the gable end overlooking Portland and the harbour...
That was mine back in the mid 60`s...

Had both our son` there...

And lived in in that house for 15 years.... :Eeek::doh::rofl: Yes 15 years... then it all went down hill... 21 moves from that day to this...:giggler:

Well they took my money and my receipt states that I have a MH

We are staying there as well in the MH very soon.
