Just booked 6 nights, at Haven, burnham on sea, sept 20 this year. Grass pitch, Inc ehu, 51.20. Go twice a year, just out of season and go fishing. 200 yards from prom and beach, 400 yards town centre, huge B and M, weatherspoons, buses to Weston-super-Mare Supermarket. Great walk along prom and beach along Brean Sands. Well worth an end of season visit, as kids back at school, and weather still warm enough.

This may come in handy.

Similar, same area as the OP, the CAMC Hurn Lane site is a walkable distance from Berrow Sands, Brean, etc.

Well organised site. Though we didn’t checkout their facilities 🤔
When we said we were going to this area we were told about winds being challenging but Hurn Lane is just far enough away from the beach front to be sheltered. We never felt the need to wind in our awning.

I’ve just had a look at the haven site. I was considering a week from 17th.

I hope the weather improves View attachment 494097
You’re a cyclist, iirc.
There’s an “on the beach” cycle route: Sustrans 33
It’s a great north south route for bikes with >30mm wide tyres. My road bike cut through the hard packed sand layer so was impossible.
And there are inland quiet roads.

Burnham on Sea.
Aah. Thanks. For confirming, (y)
On our trip we didn’t quiet get down as far as to BoS
‘Didn’t realise it had a pier like WSM
