Well you don’t hear many of the great success stories on the news, but here in Edinburgh we’ve got our vaccine delivered early and our 257 over 80’s in Stockbridge are getting vaccinated, a 99 year old was helped to the surgery by their 70 year old daughter!! Brilliant. Well done Oxford and the NHS!!​

That's good news. Let's hope that when they start publishing the daily jab numbers on Monday that the good news story gets better.

God knows when we will get ours in D&G. Just been announced that a football stadium in Dumfries is to be used as a hub - starting 18th January!

friend of ours took 103 year old to center and after two hours in the cold brought him home again without vaccine

God knows when we will get ours in D&G. Just been announced that a football stadium in Dumfries is to be used as a hub - starting 18th January!

We have the choice of either going to local doctor surgery and seeing the nurse or our local hospital which is being used as a hub, to be honest , I don’t care, just bring it on!

We already have a Covid Vaccine thread running on here, if we all stick to it, it will show eventually how many of us have been offered or have had the jab. This thread will get lost in the ether otherwise.

Wish we could be given that choice! Rural areas losing out as usual. Our surgery has always coped extremely well in getting flu jabs out. Might not be suitable for Covid as it is too small but we do have a suitable hall that could be used but we will probably have to travel to our nearest town. For some without their own transport, that will prove difficult.

Here in Wales we have had about 350,000 doses delivered but only 70k vaccinations administered.

When asked why our roll-out is so slow the First Minister will not answer, only saying that the roll-out will increase next week. With the precarious position of the NHS in Wales it is hardly a surprise, though disappointing.
