There was one for sale on here in that size not long ago, he couldn’t sell it so then said in the advert it’s now free as he didn’t want to take it to the tip.

So I paid for a courier and it delivered it cost £9, a shame to Chuck it away I thought, the roof light had come from an almost new van and was like new, the old sealant came off in 5 minutes.

So scour the classifieds is my tip.

The Seitz is a straight swap, you can ease the hinge pins out of the old one and just swap the vision panel if it's just that giving the problem, done that, have that "T" shirt ;)

We have just got a micro heki 280 x 280 for our bathroom from Jackson Leisure, hymer and other motorhome manufacturers don't make rooflights, so just find one you fancy as long as it fit the hole in the roof. 😁 Bob.

We came across a caravan / motorhome breaker called Pulse Recovery Services at Little Lightwood Farm, Cotheridge WR6 5LT, who are adjacent to Worcester Caravan Services. They might have one.

We've had a Maxxfan fitted over the rear bed in our Hymer. I think that must be 400x400. Still have the old skylight. It's up in the loft. Will check tomorrow.

400x400 is the size of the brilliant maxxfan. And that is what I would fit.

We have replace two of our 400 roof vents over the years and have found both of them secondhand, in fact one had been taken out of a new van so was virtually brand new, neither were very dear!

Cheers, thank you will give them a bell

I'd replace it with a maxxaire maxxfan deluxe at only £9 more than you're being quoted for a plain vent.

Magnums at Grimsby have a good selection of roof vents 👍
Last thing I would use are Fiamma ones as they need about 20 self tapping screws😉

Go on then, where do the 20 self tapping screws go then ?
None on the outside and just 8 to fit it from the inside. 😜

Last ones I fitted for a guy was about 3/4 years ago (he bought them) had lots of ST screws holding the roof in place. Never looked or considered them since 😉

Look errr , be careful with this one . I seem to recall someone already doing this on a Hymer . I think it was Scottish guy called Jim , he's a free member now , and has been for a while . Come to think about it , i believe he may even be a tugger now .

Anyway , i can't remember the full story , but one of his smaller skylights got broken , and he had to replace it . The thread should be on here somewhere
I'm pretty sure he said these skylights are actually not 400 mm , but slightly smaller , and so he had to adjust the aperture . Not much of an issue i know , but one that maybe , you should be aware of .

Is there any reason , you feel yours needs replacing . I've just had one of mine apart , clean and repaired .

Thanks for info, not encouraging 😖 the reason we need a new one,the Perspex cracked in a few places around the locking catch.stupidly trying to push it up while in the locked position

You do realise the perspex cover is replaceable don't you . Only held on with four screws , and rubber washers . You should find one on ebay , around 100 quid . Look under Hymer parts and accessories , failing that search out Coastal motorhomes , or even Brownhills .

I trust this is an original part ? .
