Rollerteam T590
I have a rollerteam T590 2017. I have attached a picture of the worst decal and how it has degraded. I have approached the dealer who says “It’s out of warranty, and will cost over 2K to replace all the decals that are affected”. Has anyone else had this problem and how did you fix it?

Take a pattern and a photo to your local van sign writer they will cut you some

The problem is cheap ink used in the printing process coupled with rubbish vinyl and no laminated prrotection. It all adds up to a very short life.
Very easy job for a sign company. I'd recommend specifying a normal vinyl with a good lifespan and you'll not have any more issues I've signwritten over 27,000 vehicles and never had any complaints. That includes thousands of emergency vehicles.
Good luck.

all good advice but make sure your "sign maker" is using cast vinyl for vehicle graphics and not just the same as they use for signs especially if they use the cheaper "calandered" .
Can be applied and removed easier, plus doesnt shrink as much or fade as quick as calandered vinyl (cheaper)
over lamination is an option which helps fading but not a requirement if using 10 year cast, and its self can "de laminate" slightly over time

Couldn't it be painted over? I suspect my van although an AT, is made by RT, and the darker stripes look just the same. So did consider overpainting which would be cheaper, but not sure which kind of paint to use.

Overpainting vinyl will crack. All vinyl breathes which means it expands and contracts with temperature so any overpaint will not be as flexible.

Got a similar set of marks on a 2019 Benimar
Dealer wanted £600+ to replace.
Have asked in writing for them to confirm why not covered by warranty also is it a common problem and what guarantees that it will not return.
It's just on the nearside windows at present.

I don't think it's just RT or AT to be honest. I know ours is fading on all the silver decals. Ours is a 2015 . Ours is booked in to the vehicle and sign writing in Shrewsbury to have them replaced. Autotrail wanted £650per side of silver only!
£240 Inc fitting Shrewsbury....no brainer really. ;) (y)

It seems a problem with Rollerteam 2017 and 2018 models, I have the same problem
I got 68 plate. Same problem. Going to find local printer to see cost.

I know this is an old thread.

We have one of two decals on starboard side which has cracks in different directions, so not scratches. All other decals still pristine.

Our N&B Arto is 21 years-old so no real complaints. A local guy will supply new after next trip.

Can recommend Motique Plastics, Warrington (01925 767868) who printed a set for our Autotrail recently as ours were looking faded, cracked and tired. OH did a great job applying them, MH looks great.

Older Autosleepers (2004 Nuevo) have same problem. Graphics faded and peeling, some get away with it, some don’t!

Easily solved although a bit of hard work - stripped the lot off, cleaned and polished up leaving a smart, clean, white motorhome.

Actually think it looks better ‘naked’.

Were they able to match the originals please? Or are they different ?
Any chance of any pics 👍

Yes, Globecar are terrible for it. Im looking for a good vinyl person to make me some new ones in or near Leeds
I also live in Leeds. If you find a decent vinyl person would you please pass his details on to me as I have a scratch on the side of my motorhome that would look better covered. Thanks, Mike

Hi, yes a perfect match, bearing in mind our MH is a 2010. I gave them the make/model and they emailed an Autotrail numbered sheet showing all the decals to select what we needed. They were a perfect match, cost about 300 for both sides and around rear lights.

Yes. Our 2021 Globecar has slightly peeling decals on one side. It’s the side that sits in the sun when the van is at home! May or may not do something about it. If it is going to cost £700 as above, probably not.

Our Benimar (69 plate) has had to have some replaced under warranty but paid for fitting. There are now others that have gone the same way on the sun exposed side. May go for the stripped look.

I did not notice on my Adria 690st Gold until it was repaired recently , now the Decalls on the right hand side are Bronze /Gold but the left hand side are originals and have faded to a silver / bronze colour,, if i sell the van I will get a car wrap/ signwriters company to make some new ones to match

Around 300ish, supplied only. My partner removed old and replaced them, took a bit of time but wasn't too difficult he said and he will do any others as they deteriorate. MH looks much tidier so worth the money.
