Since 1964 Gosh that makes me feel old.
A friend of ours posted on social media that he & his partner were going to view a motorhome at
BC motorhomes in Ayr.
I was surprised by this as the last thing I heard of them was that they'd called in the receivers.

Has anyone on here heard anything about them recently, the daft thing is that I was on Heathfield Road Ayr
yesterday & never thought to look at the area where they dealership is/was.

No, there was a management buy out ?. They are fully stocked and it looks very tidy.
When I contacted them they were still negotiating about the Fiat Professional garage ... I hope that works out as they seemed good and are only 6 miles away!

We viewed a few vans there last week and as Grianan says they had a management buy out, I think the new owner is a local businessman called Callum Watson. I wouldn’t buy if it was the last owner starting back up purely out of principle, the old company head office is just round the corner from us and 1 month after closing this daughter reopened the garage.

The salesman where very helpful and no pressure put on us, one wasn’t that great with some of his product knowledge but they do have over 100 vans in.

They’re also main sponsors for this years Scottish caravan and Motorhome show next month

lorger ... I might be wrong but I think Callum Watson was part of the old management structure (but not an owner). I must pop in.

I think he was either manager or had a small share but his name wasn't on the company house site when they went burst, I asked the question and guaranteed they had no connection with previous company. I know folk might think I'm going overboard, I have my reasons and wouldn't want to disclose on an open forum but his name isn't good in Dumfries especially after the main showroom starting back up with in months under his daughters name.
