I'm considering importing a Concorde from a dealer in Germany but it does not have a certificate of conformity, instead it has a

Gutachten zur erlangung einer einzelgenehmigung EG-FGV

This appears to be a single vehicle approval issued by the German TUV people which then grants it EC type approval.

More info here

This looks sort of OK to me but just wondering if anyone has actually registered using one?

Thanks

Jon

Can you not get a duplicate CoC from Concorde Jon?

Niesmann ( the dealers not the factory) are telling me that you can't Michael. It looks to me like this is an individual approval which seems odd considering how many Charisma's they ve made. I wondered if it was because its on a different chassis?

What year is it? Not that I am in any way an expert, perhaps a quick email to Concorde with the VIN or build number if you have it will get chapter and verse? However if importing a secondhand vehicle I think you can go through an IVA?

Lots of imported jap cars registered on an SVA.

I think what it has is the german equivalent, which surely means that it complies with EU regs. But will DVLA accept it? its 2010 btw and allegedly Euro 5

Hi Jon

I don’t know much about this but when we were looking at PhoeniX what we wanted would be built for us and in conversation with Reimers they “ah it won’t have CoC then that might not be so easy for you” he did then go on to say if the worst came to the worst they could register it and then we would be importing a used vehicle and it would be easier.

It's still easy you just have to have an IVA inspection to get your certificate. Cost £200 but there are only a few test centres around the country often with a one to two month waiting list.

I think what it has is an IVA, just a german one. I wonder if DVLA will accept it?
