Oxford patriot lock , I had to get 2 washers welded together to take up the slack but works brilliantly.

Many thanks, just clicked on amazon £49 squids on Prime. (y) (y)

How about £37.94 including P&P

and here's the 6mm thick washer (check what thickness you need to take up the slack) that I used as a packer, chose the M14 one.

and here's the 14.5mm drill bit.

The thieves will just fold the backrest down and sit on that as they drive the van a short distance away then use a battery angle grinder to remove the lock. Or undo the four retaining bolts and swop the front seats over.

Just another layer of security, anything is better than nothing.👍

That's expensive have a look at the online motorcycle dealers.
Thanks I will look, I am also looking at the new idea from a Funster, of a container lock, no drilling (y)

Just look at the mechanism beneath the seat. There are plenty of cut-outs/ holes through which a padlock can be threaded (as in my case) that can stop the seat being swivelled forwards. No need for drilling.

Nowhere to drill on the ISRI seats we have fitted!
Used a lock that normally fits round steer wheel to brake pedal, used it to lock seat as far forward as travel will go. No room to sit in rear facing

7mm pushdown locking pin - material: Aluminium Alloy - doesn't sound great.

My one is a 9mm pin in steel -- only the body is aluminium.
I've had mine in stock for years but this one is similar
