I had one until I found the shim between the rear spring leaves was too thin. I changed It and added a bit of grease, fantastically quiet now: I can even hear the Wife!!:whistle:

I don't but hubby has. Sometimes more than a squeak. Sometimes a thunder clap.

There you go, folk just launch into a project without carrying out a full risk assessment. They get what they deserve.

Yeah I know! but as you say, I'm a trier :doh:So I give up; an don't you lot come :crying: to me when you get a squeaky rear end; and mark my words!! It can happen to all of us:cautious:

Hello Frentchy found your link my vans a 2004 fiat 2.8 jtd and when walking around in the van or playing the wii the squeaking is getting ridiculous.
How could you tell the shim was too thin?

Hi Vlad, Did you read all the thread? Our Camper is a Elnagh 7m on a Fiat Ducato (Van ) chassis; the noise was more prominent whilst driving; after trying all sorts over my pit, my son in-law contacted Fiat commercials who explained the constant full load theory, and their solution was to change the shim's for 3mm which I did last week, and its worked (y)
