Hartal fly screen

So shut motorhome door on Hartal Flyscreen smashing bottom clip off. Ordered new one states need to release cord err no way. I cut two slits in new clip opposite side to which cord runs and threaded new clip on works like new. Bit of patience all good

Oh wow - I've done the same thing breaking the bottom clip
Can you advise where you got the replacement clip and say a bit more about how you removed the old clip?

I'll be grateful for any/all help and advice

Bought clip on eBay 15.00 if your flyscreen opens from left looking from outside its left clip you require. As I had smashed mine as shown I placed new clip next to it took photos of how cord went. Cut remains of old clip of with cutters keeping away from cord. Made two junior hacksaw cuts away from where cord runs in new clip threaded cord in. One small screw locates in place. Gently put back on runner job done. You are mostly laid on motorhome floor. No way was I going to cut cord

There is a small cover on front of clip when you remove with a thin screwdriver shows the cord. Best way order new clip and take 5 mins

Yes as near as that my first picture shows how line runs. Mine works perfect 15 quid and a bit of messing

So thanks to advice from parney my broken Hartal hab-door flyscreen is now fixed !

Need to do the same and bought RH and LH clips. Now I know I need LH clip. Cheers

Good luck take your time it’s a bit fiddly but way better than cutting cord. I do think it’s a poor design when you can shut door and break things. Just looking at what I can do as a reminder to myself make sure flyscreen is pushed right back.
