hard drive for cctv (1 Viewer)

Hi I have bought a 4 camera cctv system and need to get a hard drive but have no idea what capacity I need,
The cctv system is this one

Please can someone suggest a suitable hard drive to use

on and off for 40 years
At least 1Tb and to work and last its best there are ones that are better that others. Go for a type that is designed to run 24/7/365 not a normal pc type.

It says it supports up to 2Tb so I suggest you go for that. Disk capacity is pretty cheap these days. I suggest you need to read the manual to see exactly what specification of hard drive is required.

I have a Swann system with two bullet cameras and a pan /tilt camera i upgraded the hard drive from 500 meg to 2 TB Sata drive.(y)

Note, I'm assuming that when it says that it comes without a hard drive and that it has a 3.5" SATA II interface that they expect you to open up the box and install the hard drive internally - in which case something like the above should do the job but it's not clear if the security system comes with the mounting caddy or whether you have to buy one too.
