Handbrake wiring (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I have a Pilote reference A Class on a Euro 5 Ducato and need to connect the dashboard media player to the handbrake switch/wiring so that it will work (it has an interlock system to stop people watching DVD's/content whilst on the move. On my last van it was easy as simply connected to the handbrake unit itself, but here is a little more tricky as being an A class it is extremely difficult to access the base of handbrake unit itself. Well the wire must go somewhere forward but has anyone got any idea of the wiring colour etc so that I can find it a little further forward? removing trim does not appear to be an option due to the way it is built. I earthed the wire from the unit and it worked fine

So did I but sh,sh it is not legal as in theory you will be able to watch it whilst driving

Yes I had read that - might try it, but I think the new firmware required an on/off/on signal to work properly

Just ordered a bit of kit from USA for $16. They won't deliver outside USA/Canada but I got it sent to my mate in Houston who will send it on to me :thumb:
