Since 2016 and caravanning before that
We've booked a day at the above for there Festive weekend on 4th December staying on the CCC site at Chertsey (always sounds like it should have been the title of a Chas and Dave song). Does anyone know whether we can park a 6m coachbuilt there or nearby or can advise on public transport to and from?

Only gone in the car and parked at the Station car park just over the bridge.
Think that would be ok for 6m van.

Thank you. I think our admission is 11.30 so maybe get there early.

There is also a car and coach park on Hampton court rd opposite the petrol station, a slightly longer walk then the station car park though, but still not very far.

Good point. Thank you

The campsite isn't but the Palace is :(

i would give them a call. There is quite a big car park there and I don’t recall seeing any height barriers.

On a separate note the pub near the site called The Bridge has recently been refurbished and is quite pleasant. Exit the site and turn left and it’s about 200 yards away, next to the Thames.

What’s going on you haven’t recommended a good Indian restaurant there😂😂
Is it the one place you have not had a Curry & Cobra😂😂

There is an excellent curry house in Chertsey called The Chertsey Restaurant.

Its only a small place but the food is great.

The pub a few doors away is on the dodgy side though or at least used to be.

I had a nice steak in there a few weeks ago really nice chips with it as well. I'm currently back at Chertsey now, i think i've just talked myself into having a Sunday dinner there. :giggle:

i think it would be good.

Some friends of ours had Sunday lunch in the Kingfisher over the bridge and were not that impressed.

The Crown Hotel about 1 mile in the opposite direction is quite good too.
