Doesn't stop the ATM owner from charging you.
Not sure if they do or not. If you use a bank ATM rather than the ones in pubs etc, do they charge?

I always take cash with me but only small amounts and out everything else on a Post Office card that does not charge for overseas transactions.

The Banks in Spain charge (with the exception of, I think, UniCaja)
I always seek out that bank when 'over there'

I have never used my Debit Card from Hx to withdraw money abroad. I use my Credit card and pay it back as and when it arrives, usually a couple of days later, in my account.

Last time I went I paid the magnificent interest of 12p for the whole month.

I've just read the part that talks of 'Conversion Rates' (19th April 2020)

I'll keep an eye on that. The Conversion Rate used by Halifax for using their Clarity Card is just about perfect. Lets hope that remains after that date.
