Just before setting off home yesterday, I sent the required ‘Disarm’ text to the HAL Tracker centre and set off home. My iPhone is set up to prevent texts or calls coming through while I’m driving and when I got home, I found HAL Locate had sent a couple of text alarms telling me my vehicle was on the move.
On checking the details, the timings were an hour behind the actual time.

I hope they didn’t try calling my secondary contacts with a false alarm !

We have Hal Locate. On a few occasions we have had the same regarding lost text messages not disarming tracker.
When this has occurred we receive a call to our mobile seeking clarification as to activation, we give the password and all is cancelled. So I would in your case contact Hal locate and establish why you did not receive a telephone call seeking clarification as to if you were in possession of the vehicle.
If they never called anybody and the system showed movement something has gone wrong. What if your van was stolen, no notification of movement to yourself by phone and then notification to the police would have occurred.
Whats the point of having the system monitor your vehicle in this case?

good luck

My HAL tracker is also an hour out.

We get a false alarm every time we set off from home because we live in a hollow in rural Leicestershire and the disarm signal doesn’t get through :(
