Mrs Pops is after a hairdryer suitable for use in the motorhome (240v). So, what do you ladies and Hipsters recommend for her please?

My Daughter has a Dyson Wrap, but it was like £500 o_O

The Mrs want's a new one, but she aint having that one. :ROFLMAO:

Thats tight of you my wife has 2, one on the van and one at home. Me I just use a towel!

I only use a hair dryer to dry the dog after a bath but I did install a 1500W inverter so Mrs DBK can dry her locks. Oh, and for my coffee machine of course. :)
But as suggested, a 1200W dryer will work in most places, assuming a 6A EHU. You do come across 3A supplies occasionally so you would need an inverter for these occasions if delaying hair drying wasn't an option.
There are 12V hair dryers sold but not many used unless you are into showing hamsters or very small rabbits. :)

Yvette has very long hair and uses a 2000 watt jobby to dry her hair at home.
For the motorhome she uses one of these hooked up to the 1000 watt inverter. It uses infra red for heat and is rated at 450 watts flat out. It takes longer to dry her hair with the motorhome one, but times not a problem when we are away.

We have a 1200w travel one works OK on the low 600W setting off our 1000w inverter, also have a Babyliss gas styler but she still sits there with a towel wrapped around her head.

Get a piece of hose from an old stand up vacuum and attach it to an air vent. Turn heating and fan up high speed and there you have your hairdryer, takes up no room. (y)

Lots of suggestions here.

Thank you all for your suggestions, I don't have an inverter so it's looking like a 1200w jobbie (and certainly not a Dyson  )

do it the same way as we dry the dog, its free!

My hairdryer doesn't even know what I look like.:emo:

What's a hairdryer?

I have short hair and use the Wash, Towel and Go system. The only time I use a hairdryer is on posh sites where they have them in the facilities. I don't even use a dryer at home.

Ditto travel hairdryer 900 to 1200 watt, don’t bother with the 12v ones, I would imagine there only good to flatten your batter.

I've got a Braun 300w I bought in 1969, it's a bit funny that it slows down then picks up again. I think it's the thermostat switching in and out. But it seems to work ok

Oops seem to have got two pictures for the price of one, never mind, you can have view of the MH bathroom. Gerry

In another life we had a Princess motor cruiser, the on suite bathroom had in air vent with a specific use to plug in a tube attachment for a hair dryer.
This worked off the Eberspatcher blow air system.
I had a similar outlet fitted in the guest bathroom, just had to make sure that two were not drying hair at the same time as it reduced the effectiveness.
Tomorrow I’ll go out and look if it’s a viable option in the camper, from memory I know there.is a spare outlet on the Truma heater unit. I recon it could run up to the wardrobe through the back and out into the bathroom at waist height. That could be a project to stop me getting bored, bits needed ? I can get everything from CAK.
This Forum is good for giving off ideas, why had’nt I thought of this before.

12v hair dryers are a waste of time and space in a motorhome, from my experience. I have a set of USB straighteners which I’m very pleased with. Towel dry your hair then use the straighteners to smooth out the frizz and give it some shape. Vanity and camping can go together!??‍♀️??‍?
