Habitation door lock.

Hi Everyone.
I wonder if someone could help.
On my Fiat Challenger the door will lock from the inside, but for some reason the key only turns a quarter on the outside,
I do not want to force it and break key off in lock,.
Any ideas would be most helpful, other wise it's off to the garage for investigation.

wD40 may free it but the graphite will continue to work after application

Thankyou Winger. Daughter using Motorhome at moment with friends so have told her to pick some up or ask on site if anybody has some around she could use.

If you have a mobile auto locksmith in your area they will be experienced in this sort of work.( and likely not so expensive)

Silicone oil in spray form. Thetford maintenance spray is the same if you have some.

There are specialist lubricants for locks, do not use silicone or mineral oil based lubricants they may free the lock off initially but they attract dust and may cause the lock to gum up over the long term.

WD40

Locksmiths do not touch WD40 as the oil crystalizes when very cold. Try and get ASSA ABLOY lock spray if you can.
