Hi, I just replaced a broken hinge on a 1994 B584, the hinge is excellent made up by Bills unhinged, who makes them as Hymer don't anymore. I paid for it on Sunday and it arrived on Tuesday, excellent service and very pleased to be able to find one. Thed problem now is the little threaded back plate which the hinge attaches to on the edge of the door has got stripped out threads so not fixing or holding the door properly. Any ideas on how to replace this tiny part?

Is the threaded bar a strip of aluminium in a channel on the edge of the door?
If so I think you will find it is located buy the door seal so so you could move a bit then drill & tap new threaded holes.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by move a bit. The threaded bit is only a small nut in the door channel edge. Don't know how that could be replaced or possibly removed to be re-tapped and threaded. I'm also looking for some door seal for the habitation door, but not at Hymers' prices!
