A big thank you to Paul at motorhomelocks.co.uk for fitting my habitation door dead lock today, a great job at a good price.

Evening Paul.@paulharrison
Is there any way you could fit a mortice lock to this type of Hartel Hab door. It doesnt have the removable bit below the internal lock handle, and the bathroom wall buts up pretty close to the door frame on the lock side.
I have pinched this photo off the web, let me know if you need more detail, I will take some further photo's to make it clearer.
Many Thanks.

Thats the one Paul, well done.
I believe you are located down near Pershore, would it be possible to arrange a fitting next time we come down to an Avonbank Meadows Rally?
If so, I will make arrangements with you nearer the time, if you are available that is, please PM me your contract details if that arrangement would be suitable, I will do whatever suits you best.
Many Thanks.(y)

I have a Hymer (2018 MLT570)
It came with a deadlock in a box, but its was never fitted.

Is this an item you could fit?
Do we come to you, or do you attend any of the shows or rallies ?

I have fitted locks on a door like that you only need 20mm on the frame
If 20mm is needed on the frame, why not mount the lock 20mm recessed into to the door, you need to remove door panelling anyway to ensure there is something sufficiently strong to mount to under there. What strengthening was put behind that one as mounting direct to flimsy plastic moulding isn’t strong enough.

The inside of the door is made solid with marine ply

Its nice but why is it better?
Better than what? It's an extra level of security that needs a key to open from the outside but not from the inside incase of an emergency. In reality it just needs to make the next motorhome along more attractive to a thief.
