Sorry, another question!
Those of you who have habitation checks do you get a certificate?
The reason I ask is because we recently purchased 2015 MH from dealer but they said they don't issue habitation certificate as it comes out with full check and unless a problem it don't need one, is this correct please

We always ask for proof of the paperwork as it shows percentages in problem areas.we even had the dealer go round with s damp meter to show us . ( wasn't to happy but did comply!) after having 2 vans with water ingress so soon after a damp test we didn't want to risk another.

We don't issue a "certificate" as such but we do provide a full checklist detailing what has been done.

That's what we get from the service people on our caravans - that is enough proof for an insurance company that the van is up to a standard and is your record as to the work / checks done . Most will also have a year sticker showing last year checked.

We got a list of work done as @dave newell lvs above gives out, but also a stamp on the hab check warrant certificate. Similar to the service record for the cab service.

We had a checklist with confirmation for our Autosleeper that all relevant items were checked with written comments about electrics and gas and a diagram of the van showing all areas were checked for damp with % readings. Of course, there was no evidence of damp anywhere.
